Fri 28 Aug 2026

Few musicians have made the upright bass look—and sound—as wild as Lee Rocker, founding member of the Grammy-nominated the Stray Cats and a true icon of rockabilly. Known for spinning, standing on and throwing around his giant double bass, Rocker has spent more than four decades bringing high-energy rock ’n’ roll to audiences around the world.

As a member of the Stray Cats, Rocker helped create some of the most recognisable rockabilly anthems of the modern era, including “Rock This Town,” “Stray Cat Strut” and “Sexy + 17.” The band sold more than 10 million albums, earned 23 gold and platinum certifications and helped bring rockabilly back into the mainstream during the early days of MTV.

Beyond the Stray Cats, Rocker has performed and recorded with artists including George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Willie Nelson, John Fogerty, Leon Russell and Carl Perkins. His contributions to the bass have earned him induction into the Bass Player Hall of Fame and inclusion in Bass Player Magazine’s list of the 100 Greatest Bassists of All Time.

Now, Rocker is bringing his explosive solo show back to the Netherlands, combining classic rock ’n’ roll, rockabilly and stories from his remarkable career. Three Dutch shows have been announced for February 2027:
