Willi Carlisle brings "Winged Victory" to the Netherlands this May

Folksinger Willi Carlisle returns with Winged Victory, a self-produced fourth record that continues his long-running blend of traditional folk, absurdist storytelling, and hard-won philosophy—insisting, always, that love is bigger than hate and no one is expendable. Across songs that move from protest and satire to tender reflection, Carlisle expands the world first introduced on Peculiar, Missouri and Critterland, letting his cast of “weirdos and misfits” speak for themselves in a collection that finds beauty in small, fleeting moments and collective memory.
