War On Women continue the fight with "Time Under Tension"

Baltimore’s War On Women are back in Europe with Time Under Tension, their fifth full-length album and another uncompromising blend of feminist hardcore, melodic punk and socially conscious songwriting. Released via Smartpunk Records, the record expands the band’s sound with elements of alt-rock and indie while retaining the urgency and confrontational energy that has defined them for more than a decade.

Led by vocalist and activist Shawna Potter, War On Women have long used their music to address misogyny, inequality, abuse and other social issues. Time Under Tension balances those politically charged themes with more personal material, including the heartfelt single “Messages Unsent,” making for one of the band’s most dynamic and emotionally varied records to date.
