Uncle Lucius complements European summer tour with Italian and Scandinavian dates
Fri 28 Feb 2025Uncle Lucius is a Texas-based band known for their soulful blend of Southern rock, country, and blues. Formed in Austin in 2006, the group quickly gained a reputation for their powerful live performances and heartfelt songwriting. With influences ranging from The Allman Brothers and The Band to Waylon Jennings and Ray Charles, Uncle Lucius creates music that is both raw and deeply resonant.
Led by frontman Kevin Galloway, whose rich, smoky vocals bring an unmistakable authenticity to their sound, the band released their debut album, Something They Ain’t, in 2006. They continued to evolve with albums like Pick Your Head Up (2009) and And You Are Me (2012), showcasing a mix of introspective lyrics, swampy grooves, and Southern grit. However, it was their 2015 album, The Light, that truly put them on the map. Featuring the hit song "Keep The Wolves Away"—a moving tale of resilience and struggle—the album earned them a dedicated fanbase far beyond Texas.
Their latest album, Like It’s The Last One Left, continues their tradition of blending rich storytelling with dynamic instrumentation. With their signature sound and passionate performances, Uncle Lucius remains a beloved force in the world of roots rock and Americana. In July the band will be over for a European tour:
