Two chances to see T-99: Stayin' Out Late Festival and Goezot Festival

Tue 07 Apr 2026

If you’ve never heard of T-99, now’s the time to fix that. The Amsterdam trio—Mischa den Haring, Martin de Ruiter and Donné la Fontaine—deal in a ferocious, no-nonsense blend of rock ’n roll, roots, blues, country, rockabilly and surf, delivered with growling guitars, pounding drums, slapping double bass and raw, double-barrelled vocals. Since forming in 1999, they’ve carved out a reputation as one of the Netherlands’ most electrifying live acts, forging a sound that feels less like a genre and more like its own unruly universe—think Tom Waits jamming with Los Lobos in a sweat-soaked Texas juke joint.

With six albums, a “best of” compilation and a string of singles to their name, T-99 have spent over two decades tearing through stages across Europe and the US, sharing bills with the likes of Chuck Berry, Dr. John and Little Feat. Their music—steeped in the ghosts of Howlin’ Wolf, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash—has found its way into film, television and even Netflix series, while their live shows remain the band’s true calling card: wild, relentless and impossible to ignore. As Dutch music magazine OOR once put it, T-99 are “the most exciting and innovative roots band from the Netherlands and far beyond”—a claim that still rings loud every time they step on stage.

As all three members of the band have their various other projects T-99 shows are a scarce good. Enough reason to make sure to be there when they are happening, here's two occasions you have the chance to go see them:

11/04: Rotterdam, NL - Stayin' Out Late Festival
07/06: Oud-Turnhout, BE - Goezot Festival
