Todd Day Wait announces a run of solo UK dates
Thu 18 Dec 2025Todd Day Wait has announced a run of solo dates across the UK, bringing his road-worn songs and timeless country sound to intimate stages this year. One of the last true American workhorse troubadours, Wait’s journey has taken him from Missouri to California, through New Orleans and on to Nashville, carrying with him the spirit of early American folk, country and blues from the 1920s through the 1960s:
15/04: London, UK - Hootananny
16/04: High Peak, UK - The Strines Nightingale
17/04: Manchester, UK - Kamera Ballroom
18/04: Chester, UK - St Marys Creative Space
19/04: Bristol, UK - The Exchange
20/04: Brighton, UK - The Folklore Rooms
23/04: Barton-Upon Humber, UK - The Ropewalk
24/04: York, UK - Rise
26/04: Southampton, UK - The Brook
Known for millions of spins on platforms like GemsOnVHS and WesternAF, Todd Day Wait writes and performs music that harks back to the likes of Jimmie Rodgers, Willie Nelson, Wynn Stewart and Kris Kristofferson. In 2009, he famously put all his belongings on the curb and hit the road in a vegetable-oil-fueled shuttle bus, embarking on a never-ending tour that has seen him busk New Orleans streets, play beneath European castles and light up Nashville honky-tonks—always keeping it 60/50.
The UK dates follow the release of his latest album, Letters From The Road, produced by Mark Neill (The Black Keys, Charley Crockett). Stripped back, warm and deeply personal, the record sounds like it was captured somewhere between Nashville and New Orleans, guided by an acoustic guitar, a weathered voice and stories that feel like old letters pulled from yellowed envelopes. With these upcoming solo shows, UK audiences will get the chance to experience those songs the way they were meant to be heard: pure, unhurried and straight from the road.
