Three NL shows for Frenzee coming up

Frenzee is a fierce, high-energy punk band formed by three siblings—Apollonia, Adonis, and Nikos—who were born in Melbourne, Australia, and raised on the island of Crete, Greece. Schooled in musical tradition and shaped by a wide range of influences, from AC/DC and Nirvana to Bikini Kill and The Prodigy, the trio share a powerful, almost kinetic bond that defines their sound. Their music is explosive and relentless, driven by raw intensity and a deep-rooted passion for punk. Despite these influences, Frenzee do not sound like anyone else; their discipline and skill only sharpen the band’s dynamic energy, making them strikingly consistent and uniquely powerful.

Following a three-month tour across Australia, Frenzee embedded themselves firmly in the underground scene before heading to Europe to support 1000MODS, delivering electrifying performances at packed venues. Their self-titled EP (2022), created during the pandemic, showcased their early sound through a series of singles, blending punk rock attitude with elements of riot grrrl, stoner rock, and classic hard rock. Tracks like “Abort Mission” and “Fire In My Gutstate” highlight both their musical aggression and their thematic stance, with the latter taking aim at patriarchy and sexism. Their sound draws clear inspiration from the riot grrrl movement, while also incorporating an Australian edge and a heavier, blues-influenced style.

In 2024, Frenzee released their debut album What’s Wrong With Me, a nine-track burst of heavy punk rock that captures the band’s raw, unfiltered energy. From the opening intensity of “100 Degrees” to the closing moments of the title track, the album reflects the tight, almost telepathic connection between the siblings. Apollonia’s vocals cut through the dense wall of Adonis’ guitar and Nikos’ relentless rhythms, creating a sound defined not just by power, but by pressure—refined, focused, and overwhelming. With their commanding stage presence and uncompromising sound, Frenzee represent a new level of intensity in modern punk: a relentless force operating at maximum pressure.
