This weekend: Jobi Riccio in Groningen for Take Root Festival
Thu 05 Nov 2026Jobi Riccio is heading to Groningen for a show at this year’s Take Root Festival. On her new album, Face the Feeling, out via Yep Roc Records, Riccio builds on the introspective Americana of her debut Whiplash, taking a more electric direction that brings together thoughtful songwriting, folk and country influences, and the restless energy of indie rock.
Across the album, Riccio explores the uncomfortable moments that come with personal growth, embracing change, self-acceptance and the full range of human emotions. Working once again with co-producers Jesse Timm and Isaiah Beard, she finds a balance between intimate storytelling and more expansive, guitar-driven arrangements. A John Prine Songwriters Fellowship Award recipient and Americana Honors & Awards Emerging Artist nominee, Riccio has previously toured with artists including Jason Isbell, Lucius and Iron & Wine.
