The Hanging Stars set to hit the road with "Just A Day"

Tue 01 Sep 2026

London’s The Hanging Stars are hitting the road this autumn in support of their sixth album, Just A Day, released in June via Loose Music. Blending four-part harmonies, shimmering twelve-string guitars and chiming melodies, the album marks a new chapter for the UK Americana favourites.

Recorded at Edwyn Collins’ legendary Clashnarrow Studios in the Scottish Highlands and co-produced with Teenage Fanclub’s Gerard Love, Just A Day finds the band embracing a leaner four-piece line-up while drawing on influences including The Byrds, Big Star, The Feelies and Teenage Fanclub. The result is a vibrant collection of psychedelic folk, country rock and jangle pop that the band aptly calls “Cosmic Americana.”

The Hanging Stars’ tour starts September 4 in Sheffield, followed by a packed run of UK dates through November, including appearances at End Of The Road Festival and shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Brighton and London. With its blend of classic songwriting, jangling guitars and rich harmonies, Just A Day promises to translate perfectly to the live stage.
