Montreal songwriter Li’l Andy is bringing The Complete Recordings of Hezekiah Procter (1925–1930) back to the stage, announcing new live shows across the UK and Ireland in support of his acclaimed album-novel-performance art project:

25/04: Isle of Skye, UK - Seumas' Bar
28/04: Aberdeen, UK - The Tunnels
30/04 - 03/05: Shetland Islands, UK - Shetland Folk Festival
05/05: Edinburgh, UK - Edinburgh Tradfest (on sale next week)
07/05: Donegal, IRL - Balor Arts Theatre
08/05 - 09/05: Baltimore, IRL - Baltimore Fiddle Fair
10/05: Derry, UK - Sandino’s

Released in 2022 as a deluxe double-LP box set with an accompanying novel, The Complete Recordings of Hezekiah Procter chronicles the fictional life of an early country music legend. Written and performed “as” Procter, the songs were recorded using authentic 1930s-era equipment, including an antique wire recorder, resulting in a collection that sounds like a newly unearthed cache of 78rpm records from country music’s earliest days.

Created with the multi-instrumentalists of Sheesham and Lotus & ’Son, the project has earned widespread praise and award nominations, with No Depression calling it “a startling invention from Montreal’s greatest country songwriter today,” and Americana UK hailing it as “a triumph.”

Following three successful European tours in 2023, 2024 and 2025—spanning 46 performances in six countries and appearances at festivals including Down the Rabbit Hole, Tønder Festival, Maverick Festival, and Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival—Li’l Andy now returns to the region. Blending music, storytelling, and theatrical performance, the Hezekiah Procter live show offers audiences in the UK and Ireland another chance to experience one of contemporary roots music’s most imaginative and immersive projects.
