The Brothers Comatose bring their foot-stomping bluegrass across the Atlantic
Thu 19 Jun 2025Beloved San Francisco-based bluegrass outfit The Brothers Comatose are headed across the pond this summer, with highly anticipated shows announced in London and Rotterdam. Known for their infectious blend of Americana, folk, and traditional bluegrass, the band promises to deliver the same high-energy performances and heartfelt storytelling that have earned them a loyal following across the U.S.:
03/07: London, UK - Hootananny
04/07: Rotterdam, NL - Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival
05/07: Rotterdam, NL - Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival
Founded in 2008 by brothers Ben and Alex Morrison, The Brothers Comatose have carved out a unique niche in the roots music world with their virtuosic string work, tight vocal harmonies, and dynamic stage presence. The addition of classically-trained violinist Philip Brezina and steadfast bassist Steve Height helped solidify the group’s signature sound—a mix of old-time soul and modern West Coast spirit. In 2024, the band welcomed multi-instrumentalist Addie Levy, a mandolin player and singer from Virginia whose bluegrass pedigree and lively stage charisma have added new depth to the ensemble. Her seamless vocal blend with the Morrison brothers and her sharp picking style have only elevated the band’s already electric live performances.
The upcoming European shows in London and Rotterdam mark a thrilling opportunity for international fans to experience the group’s rollicking, heartfelt music live. With songs that explore themes of love, loss, and adventure—all while keeping toes tapping and spirits high—The Brothers Comatose are poised to bring their back-porch vibe to an even broader audience.
