Thank the Lord, The Pink Stones return to Europe in January

The Pink Stones will return to Europe in January 2027, bringing their acclaimed blend of cosmic country, folk, bluegrass, soul, and psychedelic rock to stages across England, the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain. The upcoming dates mark the band’s first European tour in support of Thank the Lord...it’s The Pink Stones, their third album and a record that sees the Athens, Georgia five-piece take a more deliberate and mature approach to their sound. Although the album has been out for some time, this tour offers European audiences their first chance to experience it live.

Built around Hunter Pinkston’s vision of reimagining tradition while pushing it somewhere new, Thank the Lord... is steeped in the sounds and stories of classic country without being confined by them. The songs move effortlessly between heartbreak, regret, desire, and playful humor, with influences ranging from Merle Haggard and Earl Scruggs to Don Williams and The Byrds. Recorded with co-producer and engineer Henry Barbe in the band’s hometown of Athens, the album combines easygoing performances with carefully crafted arrangements, resulting in a sound that feels both timeless and distinctly their own.

The record also captures a period of change for The Pink Stones, with Caleb Boese on pedal steel and Michael Alexander on drums joining longtime members Adam Wayton and Neil Golden alongside Pinkston. After extensive touring in support of their previous releases, the new lineup brought songs to the stage before recording them, allowing the band to retain a sense of spontaneity and discovery in the studio. Now, with Thank the Lord...it’s The Pink Stones finally making its live European debut, the band will return to a continent they have visited before for a new run of shows in January 2027.
