Summer dates for HORSEBATH announced

HORSEBATH is a band driven by serendipity, always chasing the spark that allows them to express what words alone cannot. That spirit defines their debut album, Another Farewell. During a morning jam session, an aimless idea evolved into “Hard to Love,” a song that began as a Tex-Mex-style tune and grew into something none of them could have created individually. Beneath its lively energy lies a quiet melancholy, capturing the restless feeling of staying too long in one place while knowing you are bound to leave, even at the cost of strained relationships.

The band itself was born from chance encounters and shared journeys across Canada. From a spontaneous meeting in a parking lot to long drives through rural landscapes, their friendship developed alongside their music. Adventures on the road—interviewing artists, exploring alternative ways of living, and spending nights behind the wheel—shaped the themes that flow through Another Farewell. The album reflects both departures and arrivals, balancing the pull of home with the lure of constant movement, and drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical traditions.

Functioning as a creative collective, HORSEBATH shares songwriting, vocal duties, and instruments, constantly experimenting to capture the raw spirit of their live shows. Recording in Montreal over an intense ten-day session, they embraced improvisation and an ego-less, music-first approach. The result is an album defined less by genre than by feeling—adventure, beauty, and heartbreak intertwined. Another Farewell ultimately stands as the sound of four musicians coming together, bound by wanderlust and brotherhood, creating something they could only make as one.

HORSEBATH will be over all summer for festival and club shows.
