Stuurbaard Bakkebaard comes with "Feeding The Rats". A new album and announces a string of shows around the release. This is a band that keeps finding new ways to push their boundaries, always chasing adventure. Is it experimental rock? Neo-psych? Their music is best described as a genre of its own.

Stuurbaard Bakkebaard returns: Under the name Stuurbaard Bakkebaard, this trio has released five albums since 1996 and played hundreds of shows across the Netherlands, Europe, and South Africa. After their last record "Boys Do Cry", they entered a period of silence—though certainly not inactivity. Behind the scenes, they composed music for film and television while sketching the outlines of something new: music written to be played live. It grew into their sixth album. This is not a reunion. Not a comeback. It’s a new chapter in a story that is far from finished. And now they are returning to the stage.

New album will be released on March 20, 2026 in Lab1 in Eindhoven after that a serie of club shows are in the books. Stuurbaard Bakkebaard can be heard in their rawest, most angular form yet, with a sound built on fuzz, drums, and their signature twisted vocals. It’s intense, charmingly abrasive, and—strangely enough—even danceable.
