Stuurbaard Bakkebaard add three exclusive shows with zZz to tour

Stuurbaard Bakkebaard continues to find new ways to push boundaries, always seeking adventure. Experimental rock? Neo-psych? Their music is best described as a genre unto itself.

Since 1996, the Dutch trio has released six albums and played hundreds of shows across the Netherlands, Europe, and South Africa. After their previous album Boys Do Cry (PIAS), a temporary lull followed—but certainly not inactivity. Working primarily behind the scenes, they created music for film and television while sketching the contours of something new: music meant to be played live.

That new chapter became Feeding The Rats, released in March 2026. Their sixth album finds SBBB at their rawest and most angular yet, with a sound built on fuzz, drums, and their signature bent-language vocals. Intense, abrasively charming and strangely danceable, the album comes fully to life on stage.

Now SBBB are hitting the clubs again with Feeding The Rats. Expect a loud, raw and unpredictable live experience from a band that has never been particularly interested in staying within the lines.

In January 2027, SBBB will also play three exclusive shows together with zZz, adding a special series of dates to the club tour.
