Seattle's True Loves hit the Netherlands three times this month

Tue 07 Oct 2025

Seattle’s own True Loves make music that feels like a block party—warm, familiar, and alive with groove. Formed in 2014 from a jam session between drummer David McGraw, bassist Bryant Moore, and guitarist Jimmy James, the group has since grown into a powerhouse featuring percussionist Iván Galvez, trombonist Greg Kramer, and saxophonists Gordon Brown and Skerik. Their live shows, full of joy and soul, have earned global acclaim, millions of streams, and praise from peers like Saundra Williams of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, who lauds their talent, hard work, and camaraderie.

The band’s recorded catalog has only cemented their reputation. Their debut Famous Last Words (2017) drew worldwide praise and festival slots, followed by 2021’s Sunday Afternoon. In 2024 they released “Good Weed and Red Wine” and hit Europe for a second tour, before dropping their latest single “Dopus No. 1” in January 2025, accompanied by a Valentine’s Day vinyl release. Whether on stage or on record, True Loves deliver the kind of funk and soul that turns every listen into a celebration.

This month they're in the Netherlands for three shows:

10/10: Groningen, NL - Oosterpoort
11/10: Amsterdam, NL - Tolhuistuin
12/10: Utrecht, NL - TivoliVredenburg
