Satanic Surfers bring their Swedish melodic punkrock to NL this July and then October

Swedish melodic punk veterans Satanic Surfers are heading to the Netherlands this month and then October for two shows, bringing more than three decades of speed, melody and attitude back to Dutch stages. Formed in 1989, the band famously forgot to celebrate their own 30th anniversary in 2019, but they’ve never forgotten how to deliver high-energy performances. Since their 2018 comeback album Back from Hell — released the same day as Grit by No Fun At All — the Surfers have toured extensively across Europe, South America and Canada, now performing as a four-piece with Rodrigo back on drums and vocals, just like in the ’90s.

With classic releases such as Hero of Our Time, 666 Motor Inn and Going Nowhere Fast, the band built a strong underground following and became one of Europe’s leading melodic punk acts. Inspired by bands like Misfits and Descendents, Satanic Surfers combined fast, technical skate punk with increasingly sharp, socially aware lyrics — earning cult status without chasing mainstream fame. Dutch fans can expect a set packed with ’90s favorites and later material when the band returns this fall.
