Sam Outlaw & Kitty, Daisy & Lewis will headline Down By The River Festival in Venlo

Sunday, April 13, 2025, will be another musical highlight in Venlo, as Down By The River returns to Grenswerk and Joriskerk. Seven bands on three stages:

Kitty, Daisy & Lewis
The London siblings Kitty, Daisy & Lewis Durham are exceptionally talented songwriters and multi-instrumental musicians. Each of them constantly switches instruments during their performances, with a repertoire that includes R&B, jazz, soul, blues, ska, country, rock 'n' roll, and more. Kitty, Daisy & Lewis combine these genres to perfection!

Sam Outlaw 
Sam Outlaw, a star in the Americana genre, brings a fresh perspective to country music. His music blends traditional influences with a contemporary twist. With a warm voice and personal lyrics, he creates intimate, immersive performances that touch the audience. As one of the headliners, Sam Outlaw promises to be an unforgettable experience at Down By The River 2025.

Brown Horse
Brown Horse is a six-piece band from Norwich that combines the alternative rock of the 90s with the soulful sounds of 70s folk and country. Their music, inspired by icons such as Uncle Tupelo, Neil Young, and Lucinda Williams, offers a rich, evocative sound that feels both nostalgic and innovative. The band is known for their powerful performances where bluegrass, folk, and rock influences come together.

Heath
Heath brings a psychedelic storm across the Netherlands with their debut album Isaak’s Marble, opening doors to a boundless and enchanting world full of complex time signatures, harmonica, driving guitars, and storytelling vocals.

Jana Mila 
Jana Mila offers a refined mix of indie and Americana. Her warm voice and poetic lyrics create an intimate atmosphere. With her authentic style, Jana Mila effortlessly captivates her audience.

Melanie Ryan
Melanie Ryan translates her musical journey and roots into her self-proclaimed Braided Style Music, a blend of Pop, Country, and Folk. In Nashville, she refined her songwriting and aims to share this sound widely with Nashville-style storytelling.

Doctor Velvet
The steamy, unique potion of the Amsterdam duo Doctor Velvet is a mix of The Sonics and Little Richard, infused with a hefty dose of rhythm & blues and a touch of boogaloo.
