Ruthie Foster announces new album "Just Say Yes" and September European dates

Ruthie Foster has always followed the signs. From watching the Grammy Awards as a child and dreaming of a life in music, to stepping away from the industry to care for her mother and finding her way back, Foster’s journey has been one of resilience, reinvention and saying yes.

Following her first-ever Grammy win for Best Contemporary Blues Album for Mileage, the blues icon returns with Just Say Yes, out August 28 via Sun Records — an album born from a period of change, reflection and rediscovery. After a knee injury and surgery forced Foster to slow down, she found herself looking back on the miles behind her and the path that brought her here. Inspired by the sticky note she once wrote herself — “Just say yes” — the new record explores transition, identity and staying true to who she is.

Recorded in Nashville with Tyler Bryant, Rebecca Lovell, Megan Lovell and Mike Seal, Just Say Yes captures Foster’s unique blend of blues, gospel, folk and country, with every song rooted in her own experiences.
