Rob Heron hit the road with his newest EP, "Pull The Other One, Rob!"

Wed 19 Nov 2025

Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra have spent over a decade joyfully smashing through genre boundaries, blending rockabilly, blues, country, swing, soul and more into a sound that is uniquely their own. Hailing from Newcastle and beyond, the band has toured extensively across the UK and Europe, releasing five albums and earning a reputation for energetic live shows and razor-sharp wit.

Their latest EP, Pull The Other One, Rob!, showcases the group’s ever-expanding musical curiosity—driven in no small part by Rob Heron’s obsession with obscure vinyl gems, from vintage country 45s to calypso and boogaloo. This eclectic spirit continues to shape their writing and keeps the Tea Pad sound fresh, playful, and utterly distinct.

The band’s commitment to capturing real musical moments shines through in their upcoming album Feet First, recorded straight-to-tape over two intense days at Lightning Recorders in Berlin. With the addition of Ben Powling on saxophone and clarinet, the group has entered an exciting new chapter—more dynamic and colourful than ever.

After ten years of honing their craft, Rob Heron (vocals/guitar), Tom Cronin (mandolin/harmonica/guitar), Ben Powling (saxophone/clarinet), Ted Harbot (bass) and Paul Archibald (drums) are sounding better than ever—and this April, they’re back on the road.

23/04: Hamburg, DE – Nochtwache
24/04: Eindhoven, NL – Rozenknopje
25/04: Breskens, NL – Dust! My Blues Festival
