Pert Near Sandstone tour Europe this month with new album "Side By Side"

For over two decades, Minnesota-based Pert Near Sandstone have been doing things their own way, blending traditional bluegrass with roots, folk and a healthy dose of punk spirit. Built around four individual singer-songwriters – J Lenz, Justin Bruhn, Nate Sipe and Kevin Kniebel – the quartet has developed a distinctive sound that combines acoustic instrumentation, adventurous songwriting and a strong sense of community.

Independently recorded and co-produced by Ryan Young of Trampled by Turtles, the album finds the four songwriters at ease working together, creating a cohesive collection that balances traditional melodies with a willingness to push musical boundaries.

Beyond their music, Pert Near Sandstone are also known for their involvement in creating and curating the Blue Ox Music Festival in Minnesota, continuing their commitment to bringing musicians and audiences together. This November, the band will bring that same open-hearted spirit to Europe with a tour:
