Penny & Sparrow tour Europe with new album "Lefty"

Penny & Sparrow have always chased honesty in their music, but with Lefty, the Texas-born duo dove headfirst into play. Following their introspective 2022 release Olly Olly, Andy Baxter and Kyle Jahnke stripped away the polish, retreated to a friend’s garden shed, and built a twenty-track album that is as sprawling as it is intimate. What emerged is a vivid collage—equal parts dreams and nightmares, poetry and graffiti, whispered secrets and full-throated anthems.

The record wanders freely from hushed acoustic laments to bursts of ethereal pop, mischievous ballads, and raucous singalongs, yet always remains tethered by the pair’s unmistakable harmonies. In its variety, Lefty feels less like a departure and more like a homecoming—an embrace of the sounds and influences that first inspired two Texas kids to make music together. Playful, strange, and deeply human, the album suggests that Penny & Sparrow have not only redefined their sound, but rediscovered the joy of creating it. Starting next week Penny & Sparrow will tour across Europe:
