Kassi Valazza returns to the Benelux in June

Today we’re happy to announce a couple of Benelux shows in June from Kassi Valazza, a songwriter whose work is defined by movement, reflection, and hard-won clarity:

Valazza is a songwriter’s songwriter, celebrated for her sharp pen and emotional honesty. Drawing from folk traditions that recall Joni Mitchell, Sandy Denny, and the late Michael Hurley, her music resists easy genre labels. The writing is always central—intimate, observant, and deeply human.

Her latest album, From Newman Street, is her most incisive yet. Written between Portland and New Orleans during a period of transition, the record captures the unease of repeating patterns and the difficult work of breaking them. Rooted in folk and country, the songs feel warm, unguarded, and lived-in, balancing restraint with emotional weight.

After years of near-constant touring, From Newman Street stands as a time capsule of a chapter closing and a step toward something more grounded. This June, Benelux audiences will get the chance to hear these songs up close, exactly as they were meant to be heard.
