Kaia Kater joins Laura Cortese on acoustic evenings throughout Belgium

Canadian singer-songwriter Kaia Kater, renowned for her skillful banjo playing and rich contributions to the folk and Americana genres, has recently released a captivating rendition of "Over Yonder in the Graveyard." Originally penned by Ola Belle Reed, this song has been a long-time favorite of Kater's. 

In May 2024, Kaia Kater unveiled her latest full-length album, Strange Medicine, through Free Dirt Records. This ten-track collection delves into themes of transformation and resilience, featuring collaborations with esteemed artists such as Aoife O'Donovan, Allison Russell, and Taj Mahal. The album's intricate arrangements draw inspiration from diverse sources, including minimalist composer Steve Reich and the spiraling rhythms of the West African kora. Kater's distinctive banjo playing and evocative songwriting shine throughout, offering listeners a profound and immersive musical experience.
