Jesse Daniel's Dutch and Belgian shows are coming up

Jesse Daniel returns to The Netherlands and Belgium this month with his album Son of the San Lorenzo. A deeply personal record that maps his path from the redwood-lined hills of California’s Central Coast to stages across the world. While life on the road defines much of his present, his roots remain firmly planted in the San Lorenzo Valley, where he was raised in Ben Lomond. Recorded live to tape at Nashville’s Bomb Shelter, the album offers a raw, unvarnished portrait of an artist shaped by creeks, mountains, and a close-knit community. Fusing the traditional country sound he has become known for with the California country-rock influences of his upbringing, Daniel describes the album as a moment of reckoning — a point where he stops running and finally confronts his past.

Son of the San Lorenzo traces a turbulent coming-of-age story marked by addiction, loss, and eventual redemption through music and love. By age 12, Daniel had begun drinking, and by 18 he was caught in addiction to heroin and crystal meth, leading to repeated cycles of incarceration and rehab. His eventual path to sobriety was driven in part by his relationship with his fiancée, Jodi Lyford, and a determination to rebuild his life. Over the past seven years, he has released five widely praised albums and earned a loyal international following through constant touring. The new record draws on the legacy of California greats such as The Byrds, Eagles, and Flying Burrito Brothers, alongside classic rock influences like Led Zeppelin and The Allman Brothers Band, resulting in a cinematic, emotionally rich collection defined by resilience and reflection.
