Jesse Daniel brings new album "The Son of San Lorenzo" to Europe

Fri 04 Jul 2025

Rising country artist Jesse Daniel last month unveiled his highly personal new album Son of the San Lorenzo, out via Lightning Rod Records. Recorded live to tape at Nashville’s The Bomb Shelter, the 11-track collection chronicles Daniel’s remarkable life journey — from hitchhiking near the Santa Cruz Mountains to overcoming addiction and finding redemption through music. The album features a standout collaboration with Charles Wesley Godwin.

“I felt like I’d matured enough to go deeper than I ever had before,” Daniel shared. “This record is about facing things head on — I took on much of the production and sonic direction because these songs are so personal.”

Son of the San Lorenzo draws from classic California country and rock influences, channeling the spirit of the Eagles, Flying Burrito Brothers, Led Zeppelin, and the Allman Brothers. The record also features contributions from legendary players like Charlie McCoy, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Peter Keys, and SteelDrivers’ Richard Bailey. Daniel will support the album with an ambitious tour, including shows in Brazil, Europe, Australia, and his first headlining gig at Texas icon Billy Bob’s.

The tour also includes no less than three NL shows, coming up this month:

09/07: Groningen, NL - De Oosterpoort
10/07: Utrecht, NL - TivoliVredenburg
17/07: Lichtenvoorde, NL - Zwarte Cross
