Ferocious Dog are over for four Dutch shows this month
Thu 20 Nov 2025Ferocious Dog are a six-piece powerhouse blending Celtic-folk melodies with punk rock energy, carving a space somewhere between Billy Bragg and The Levellers. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of influences, including New Model Army, the band channels their music through a distinctly left-leaning lens, using lyrics and performances to convey messages of social consciousness and solidarity. Their sound is both raucous and heartfelt, marrying folk instrumentation with punk’s urgency to create anthems that resonate on both political and personal levels.
Over the years, Ferocious Dog have built a reputation for explosive live shows, headlining tours across the UK and Europe, as well as performing in Kenya and Dubai. They’ve appeared at major festivals like Glastonbury, Lowlands in the Netherlands, Bearded Theory, and Beautiful Days. Their sixth studio album, Kleptocracy, exemplifies their vibrant sound and sharp social commentary, reaching No. 3 on the Official Folk Charts, No. 6 on the Independent Charts, and No. 11 on the Physical Charts, cementing their place as one of the UK’s most compelling modern folk-punk bands.
