Dylan LeBlanc hits the road starting this Friday in Norway

The 28-year-old Dylan LeBlanc is an American singer-songwriter who grew up between Shreveport, Louisiana and Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He spent his teenage years watching his musician father play in Muscle Shoals bars, playing in rock bands himself and learning how to write songs.

He released his debut album Paupers Field in 2010 aged just twenty years old, quickly followed by 2012’s Cast the Same Old Shadow on Rough Trade Records, and toured as a support act for the likes of Lucinda Williams, Bruce Springsteen, Laura Marling and The Civil Wars.

After surviving a period of intense personal turbulence, he walked away from a major label deal and returned to Muscle Shoals where he wrote Cautionary Tale, working closely with Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes) and John Paul White (The Civil Wars). He has resumed performing live and after a successful first European tour in years last year he takes his backing band The Pollies for an extensive tour starting this month.

Recently Lera Lynn released a duet-collaboration album named Plays Well With Others. The record features songs written and performed with a bevy of prominent roots musicians which include John Paul White, Andrew Combs, Rodney Crowell, Shovels & Rope, JD McPherson, Nicole Atkins and Dylan LeBlanc. The mesmerizing song is called What is Love and is getting airplay on BBC, listen to it here via NPR.
