The news follows Ramirez’s recently wrapped double bill tour with longtime peer and indie-folk stalwart Noah Gundersen, which drew packed rooms and praise for its emotional resonance and stripped-down authenticity.

Fresh off that shared stage experience, Ramirez is returning fully to his own sonic vision. All the Not So Gentle Reminders—recorded in Cedar Park, TX and born from a season of personal introspection and creative rebirth—is a record that puts music itself at the center. “I’m over the anger, the sadness,” Ramirez says. “I’m moving forward; I can see it coming soon.” The album features sprawling, dreamlike arrangements and a renewed sense of purpose from the Austin-based artist.

Having stepped away from songwriting after a long relationship ended, Ramirez returned to the craft only when he felt his heart begin to come back to life—trading heartbreak for hope, and industry expectations for creative joy. That new energy will be front and center on the road this fall. Ramirez’s September tour promises not just a continuation of his sonic evolution, but a celebration of it—an artist fully in his stride, backed by a band, and playing music simply for the love of it.
