Christopher Paul Stelling reveals European tourdates; unveils Down By The River session

The highly anticipated album Itinerant Arias by acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist Christopher Paul Stelling arrived in stores last month. While Stelling has spent the last several years traveling with just his guitar, Itinerant Arias finds the virtuosic finger picker backed by a cadre of friends and musicians, lending a rollicking energy to a record inspired by traveling through and observing an undeniably tumultuous world. With this band he's done a quick in-and-out Europe tour right when the record came out, to huge success, selling out a show at Brussels' Ancienne Belgique.

This little tour also included a performance at the Down By The River and the band was filmed performing River at, yes, the riverside. Happy to unveil the resulting video today:

While many artists fancy themselves as some variation of a modern day troubadour, Christopher Paul Stelling has earned the title outright. Over the last year and a half alone, he's played almost 300 shows spread out over 46 states and 14 countries. His conversations and observations throughout that globetrotting gave birth to the grim-yet-gorgeous (and often prophetic) songs on his new album Itinerant Arias.
