Carson McHone's UK/Europe tour kicks off soon
Thu 20 Aug 2026Written in the Texas desert and recorded on the Canadian coast, Pentimento marks Carson McHone's most ambitious work to date. Blending elements of guitar rock, pastoral folk, poetry, field recordings and visual art, the album explores memory, family, landscape and the uncertainty of modern life in a richly layered collection of songs.
Carson McHone is set to return to the UK and Europe this summer in support of the album released on Merge Records. The Austin, Texas-born artist, now based in Southern Ontario, will embark on a tour across the UK, the Netherlands and France:

McHone first gained international recognition with Carousel (2018), produced by Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Patty Griffin), before signing with Merge Records for Still Life (2022). Alongside her solo career, she has become a key member of Daniel Romano's Outfit, recording and touring extensively while continuing to develop her own distinctive voice as a songwriter.
The upcoming tour will see McHone performing with a specially assembled band featuring members of Hollow Hand, led by longtime collaborator Max Kinghorn-Mills. The run also includes three intimate trio performances with Kinghorn-Mills and multidisciplinary artist Fliss Horrocks.
