Canyon Lights over to play shows in Czech Republic and Finland

Canyon Lights bring together the raw energy of rock n’ roll, swampy Americana, heavy blues, and 70s-inspired guitar rock. The trio combines these influences into a sound that balances classic rock roots with a distinctly modern edge. The band was formed by former GA-20 members Pat Faherty and Tim Carman, following years of touring together across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Having spent thousands of hours on the road with the Boston-based, three-time #1 Billboard-charting blues group, they eventually felt the urge to explore a wider musical territory, drawing inspiration from acts such as Thin Lizzy, James Gang, Mountain, and Led Zeppelin.

The first Canyon Lights recordings took shape in early 2024, when Faherty and Carman headed to Denver to work with engineer and co-producer Dylan Brown. What started as a new batch of songs developed into a project driven by straightforward rock n’ roll, personal songwriting, and the freedom to step outside the boundaries of a particular genre or scene. Canyon Lights now takes that sound on the road as a touring power trio, featuring Pat Faherty on guitar and vocals, Harrison Foti on drums and vocals, and Benton Parker on bass and vocals.

Their extensive touring has taken them across the United States, Canada, and Europe, with highlights including support dates for George Thorogood. The band's live experience also builds on the years Faherty and Carman spent touring extensively with GA-20.

“The songs on this album are among the most personal we’ve ever written and recorded. Spending so much of life on the road, dealing with separation, loss, and the thrill and loneliness of living out of a suitcase, a lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this music. We held nothing back.”
