Cactus Lee's April Benelux tour announced now, on the back of "Lee's Dream"
Wed 04 Nov 2026What began as a home-recording project in 2019 gradually evolved into a band with a rotating cast of musicians, taking Cactus Lee to New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, among other places. His latest album, Lee’s Dream, his second release for Western Vinyl, finds Dehan drawing on the rich traditions of country music while developing his own distinctive songwriting style. Conceived during a monthlong solo tour, the record brings together songs shaped by life on the road and personal experiences back home in Texas.
Recorded at Billy Horton’s Fort Horton Studios in Wyldwood, Texas, Lee’s Dream combines the warmth and character of classic country recordings with Dehan’s melodic, often nostalgic songwriting. Inspired by artists ranging from John D. Loudermilk and George Hamilton IV to Glen Campbell and early Gordon Lightfoot, the album moves between tales of bad luck, easy money and small-town Texas life. The result is a collection that feels both timeless and personal, balancing melancholy with an unmistakable sense of joy.
With Lee’s Dream, Cactus Lee continues to explore the space between traditional country, Americana and the stranger corners of American musical folklore. The upcoming European tour, including a series of Benelux dates in April 2027, will bring Dehan's songs and distinctive take on country music to audiences on this side of the Atlantic:
