Buster Shuffle's sold out Amsterdam show is coming up

26-02-2024

If you're looking for ska with a touch of pop, you'll find it in England, of course, with Madness. But in recent years, a somewhat younger band has also played itself into the focus of all those whose love of skanking belongs to the offbeat: Buster Shuffle from London. Their live shows are worth every penny and racy to the max. The title of their current album "Go Steady" sounds like a call to remain steadfast and optimistic after two years of pandemic - and in the face of the lunatics out there who think they have to drive this world further and further towards ruin. "Go Steady" was made possible by crowdfunding. This band is no longer an insider tip, at the latest, but the best ska and ska-punk and ska-pop and over-all band of the second band generation of this genre.

With their typically British mix of cockney 'Oi' and ska, these Brits know how to put on an energetic live show. Buster Shuffle is as British as Fish & Chips with songs about drunken arguments, naughty old women and difficult divorces. The London foursome previously supported artists such as Flogging Molly, Me First and the Gimme Gimmies, Less Than Jake and Donots. Their sound is reminiscent of a combination of early Madness, The Specials, The Selecter but also punk from bands like The Clash, The Blockheads and Rancid. Only 500 LPs of their latest LP 'Hold Back The Rebels' are being pressed and can only be purchased at their shows.
