Boogie Beasts celebrate 15 years with "Don’t Be So Mean" and Dutch shows

Belgian blues-rock force Boogie Beasts mark their 15th anniversary with the release of Don’t Be So Mean! – A Tribute To R.L. Burnside, a fiery new album rooted in the hypnotic groove of R.L. Burnside. More than a tribute, the record is a transatlantic collaboration featuring Burnside’s son Duwayne Burnside, longtime guitarist Kenny Brown, Luther Dickinson, G. Love and Dutch guitarist Pablo van de Poel, bringing Boogie Beasts back to their North Mississippi Hill Country roots with raw, modern intensity.

With Don’t Be So Mean! the band channels everything that has defined them since 2011: gritty blues, garage-rock energy and a restless, danceable edge. The album has already drawn international attention, with tracks like “Going Down South” — dubbed “delta disco” by Pablo van de Poel — capturing the project’s adventurous spirit while honoring Burnside’s legacy.

The release comes with a powerful new live show, and Dutch audiences will be among the first to experience it. Upcoming shows include:
