Blind Boys of Alabama over for exclusive Belgium and Netherlands shows this week

Tue 29 Apr 2025

Blind Boys of Alabama, gospel legends whose journey began in 1939, continue to inspire audiences worldwide with their timeless music and message of hope. Over an extraordinary career spanning more than 80 years, the group has earned six Grammy Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and collaborated with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Peter Gabriel, and Bon Iver.

In 2024, the Blind Boys added another Grammy to their collection with Echoes of the South, a stirring album blending traditional gospel, soul, and R&B. They also released their definitive memoir, Spirit of the Century: Our Own Story (Hachette Books), offering an intimate look at their groundbreaking legacy. Their story is further highlighted in a new PBS special, A Symphony Celebration.

Despite recent changes within the group, including the retirement of founding member Jimmy Carter, the Blind Boys' music remains as powerful as ever. This week, the Blind Boys of Alabama will perform live in Belgium and The Netherlands, bringing their soul-stirring harmonies to European audiences:

01/05: Antwerp, BE - Roma
03/05: Groningen, NL - Rhythm & Bluesnight
