Annie Taylor with "Out of Scale" to the Netherlands

Swiss alternative rock band Annie Taylor return with their third album, Out of Scale, a record driven by raw emotions, distorted guitars and big dreams. Led by singer Gini Jungi, the band explores the highs and lows of friendships, relationships and the search for a place in the world. Her vocals shift between vulnerable, almost distant melodies and moments of fierce intensity, while the interplay of guitar, bass and drums brings a grunge-fuelled energy that is made for the live stage.

Since first coming together in a bar in the Swiss mountains after a snowboarding session, Annie Taylor have built a reputation for their electrifying live shows. They have taken their sound to international stages and festivals including SXSW and Levitation in Austin, The Great Escape in Brighton and Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg. Following the breakthrough of their debut Sweet Mortality and the rougher, more introspective Inner Smile, the band now push their sound further on Out of Scale. Moving effortlessly between explosive grunge, hypnotic psychedelia and quieter, more reflective moments, the album finds its own balance between chaos and clarity.

Recorded between a US tour and a series of European shows, Out of Scale captures a band unafraid to embrace uncertainty and change. Songs such as ‘The Ocean’ and ‘Something Ain't Right’ navigate the shifting ground between intimacy, longing and doubt, while opener ‘Alligator’ sets the tone with an immediate burst of energy. With the release marking a new chapter for the band, Annie Taylor continue to challenge expectations and follow their own path. Out of Scale is a reminder to keep dreaming, embrace new beginnings and never make yourself smaller to fit someone else's world.
