Andrea von Kampen confirms string of UK shows in August
Thu 19 Feb 2026Andrea von Kampen is a Nebraska-based singer-songwriter whose music blends intimate storytelling, poetic lyricism, and warm acoustic arrangements. Rooted in the landscapes of the Great Plains, her songs explore connection—to the natural world, to one another, and to the quiet moments that shape us. With more than 60 million Spotify streams, releases on Fantasy Records, and appearances at leading folk and Americana festivals, she has cultivated a devoted global following.
Her national breakthrough came in 2016 with a Top 10 NPR Tiny Desk shout-out, introducing her thoughtful songwriting to a wider audience. She self-released her debut album, Old Country (2019), establishing herself as a compelling new voice in contemporary folk. After signing with Fantasy Records, she released That Spell (2021), expanding her reach through extensive touring. In 2022, she made her acting debut in A Chance Encounter, also writing and recording the film’s soundtrack.
Her 2024 self-released album, Sister Moon, marked a deeply personal evolution, exploring climate change and humanity’s relationship to the earth. In 2025, she followed with the EP Before I Buy a Gun, an urgent yet hopeful response to rising hateful rhetoric in American politics.
Known for engaging live performances that weave storytelling, humor, and heartfelt connection, von Kampen has appeared at festivals such as Newport Folk Festival, Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, and 30A Songwriter Festival. She has toured with artists including The Tallest Man on Earth, Punch Brothers, Trampled by Turtles, The Wood Brothers, Watchhouse, Darlingside, Avi Kaplan, Leif Vollebekk, and Tall Heights, and has headlined tours across North America and Europe.
