21-04-2013

The Urban Voodoo Machine have something to celebrate. The band has their 10-year anniversary and to celebrate they will release "Rare Gumbo". This is a compilation with 20 rare cuts and will be released on May 20th. Also there will be a special party at Leicester Square Theatre in London. Besides all that the band will return to the Benelux as well to play several festivals and clubshows. Their tour starts this Friday in Het Paard, Den Haag (26/04) and will lead them to Oranjepop in Ommen (27/04), Kulturrampe in Krefeld (28/04), the Queensnite Bash in Utrecht (29/04), Queensday Festival in Venlo (30/04), des Koningstrio in the beautiful garden of the Burgerweeshuis, Deventer (30/04), and will end on May 1st in Lessines at Roots & Roses Festival (01/05).

"Unashamedly theatrical and sheer good fun, The UVM throw themselves around the stage with wild abandon. Lead singer and mainman Paul -Ronney Angel careers amongst the other musicians howling his blues-infused juke joint vocals as a fusillade of mayhem unfolds around him. This is a band that has a virtually indescribable sound. Think spaghetti western meets The Clash at the wildest funeral you've ever been at and you're still not that close."
